West Virginia State University traditionally has one of the most affordable tuition costs in the state. This affordability, combined with an excellent academic experience, results in tremendous value for our students. Tuition for WVSU’s online undergraduate programs is $287 per credit hour. Graduate tuition is $400 per credit hour.
In order to be eligible for financial aid, all students must complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The U.S. Department of Education uses the information from the FAFSA to determine eligibility for federal funds.
The West Virginia State University Office of Student Financial Assistance uses the FAFSA to create financial awards for new and returning students. For West Virginia residents, the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission also uses the information from the FAFSA to determine eligibility for state funds.
WVSU’s FAFSA code is 003826.
